Luca Cambiaso
Painter and printmaker
(Moneglia, Italy, 1527 - 1585, Madrid, Spain)
ULAN note: Dominant figure in Genoese painting in the 16th century and the founder of the Genoese school. He is noted for his night scenes, simplified forms, and use of dry paint; two major influences on his work were Michelangelo, seen in his massive figures, and Correggio, for his soft modelling.
