ULAN note: Melvin Edwards is an African-American sculptor who was born in Houston, Texas. He was educated at the University of Southern California and the University of California, Los Angeles. His work consists mainly of metal outdoor sculpture.
"Deni Malick is the name of a farm (Deni Malick Gueye) that Melvin Edwards lived on for a time near Diamnaidio, Senegal. He was part of some sort of farming project and made contact with local blacksmiths. See here:
