Willem van Nieulandt
Painter and printmaker
(Antwerp, Belgium, 1584 - ca. 1635, Amsterdam, Netherlands)
ULAN note: Painter, engraver and writer. In 1594, apprenticed to Jacob Savery in Amsterdam; in 1601/1602 went to Rome to live with his uncle and teacher Willem van Nieulandt I. Later Willem II entered the studio of Paul Bril. In 1604 he left Rome, lived briefly in Amsterdam and then moved to Antwerp, where he became a master in the Guild of St Luke in 1605.
